Description

This is a very short game I created for the SigmaNine.NET 24hour game making competition. The total game development time was 9 hours. The game is set in ye olde England and Henry (King) is hungry (Like you'd expect). So he sends you out (A spatula) to go and get him some eggs. Go into each level and recover the normal egg and bring it back to Henry. Leaving it on his egg podium so he may then munch it.

NOTE: This game is so short you should be able to complete it in one play through. You have one life and cannot save at any point. Game completion only raises when you give Henry an egg.

Apologies for any bugs issues with the game please take into consideration the time I had. This is the first game I've released since mid 2008.

I recommend you read the game information ingame to understand what the hell is going on(Hit F1 to get that).

When the competition is over I plan to work on and expan this. Again, when rating please take into consideration the context of how long I had to make this.

Total Development time: 10hours and 24minutes.

I threw it together in 10hours. I was really rushed D: Like I said in the games help file. Don't expect perfection. It will be glitchy and it will have problems. It's the first game I've released since 2008

Hmm... I forgot about the X to run. R to restart, I knew, but how does that make sense if every time you die you start the entire game again?
If I'm falling towards a pit of spikes, and I hit R, I restart the room. If I don't hit R, I restart the game. Some mistake surely?
I take back what I said about Henry VIII, but the story is still a little bit odd.

Henry VIII was a notoriusly chubby guy and spent most of his time eating, And for that I didn't expect him to be a brainy guy, more of simpleton. Did you check the controls? Eg. X to run, R to restart room etc?

Agreed about the platforming engine. Graphics are a bit weak. Also the story is a bit odd (whoever heard of a King of England saying "Food Eat. Eggs Now."?), and since that's the main link to the theme of the competition, a bit more effort would not have gone amiss. Furthermore, I couldn't beat the third level, and having to restart the entire game each time took the fun out of it.
Having said that, you get points for originality, as the only person to not have made an arcade game about fighting off other people and surviving for as long as possible. So I give you a 40%.
