February 2nd News Update.

Competition Over, Voting Begin
Yes were already well into February of 2010! And our first game making competition is over. Only 4 entrants this time but not a total loss. Here are the entrants in release date order (Oldest First):

The voting of the competition will last until  February the 11th and in that time you need to post the name of your favourite entrant in this topic: http://sigmanine.net/forums/competitions/sigmanine-competition-01/msg37592/#new. You are obviously not allowed to vote for your own game. After February the 11th the votes will be tallied and the winner declared. If two games score the same amount of votes we will go to sudden death in which a second round of voting will begin.

Prize Tweak
The game review prize for the competition has been slightly edited. You can have your winning game entry reviewed on the Game Maker Blog OR you can have any other Game Maker Game of your choice (Including one of your own past games) reviewed.

Site news
There is a fair bit of site news to report on:

• Moderators will notice in the coming days an extension to their powers which should speed up game submission.
• If you haven't seen already then there are now featured games on the home page of the website, there is also the ability to view top rated and recent games on the home page through the Content Feed.
• The Content Feed itself will soon serve another purpose of showing daily website updates.
• There is now a simple and advanced view for searching through games on the games page.
