Anyhoo, the newest Metroid news I've come across is the new Metroid Metal song Downed Frigate Orpheon from Metroid Prime.  It's a good song.  The original is also available to listen to on the site.

And so one of the largest YYG topics has moved to TwilightPhantasm. :D

I personally don't have any Metroid games of my own, but I've played the original game on the vNES website and I'm a fan of the series. On a side note, Samus is one of my best characters in Brawl. Why they didn't have Ridley or Sylux as playable characters in that game is beyond me ???

Hehe, actually, it's a new image NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory recently took.  It's a pretty amazing picture.  Turns out what you see in the photo occurred 17000 years ago.  Here's a link to the article explaining the scene taken in the picture:

Also you can add this to the first post under Metroid Resource sites. Wikitroid It's a nice little Wikipedia-based site that I found that is quite useful in Metroid information.

I never actually finished the first prime. I got to the final boss in the first and never was able to beat metroid prime. But I haven't tried in years, I no longer have my save file though or a GC memory card :( I'll wait for the new play control edition of it.
